Learn everything about porous root pave

Root Pave is specially formulated to provide a porosity of 1.21mm/sec/m flow of water through the product. The porosity will minimize run off from any 1:50 year storm
Where can you use it?

It is made from 7 to 10mm stone, crumbed rubber, and a specially developed Urethane Binder. Both the Binder and the rubber provide the flexibility required to resist the cracking that is normally associated with open-graded porous concrete and asphalt products. There is tremendous flexibility to allow tree roots to grow without cracking the product when paving right up to the bases of trees.
The product is best suited to areas requiring paving within the drip line of trees or where the roots of larger trees extend under driveways and footpaths. The use of Porous Root Pave product can often provide a great cost saving by being able to do away with pipe drainage and kerb and gutter by allowing the stormwater retention to feed the trees in the case of tree-lined footpaths driveways and roads.

One large tree can lift 380 litres of water in a day. Porous paving has applications for:

Environment is our priority

In all these applications the water is filtered to a level suitable for irrigation. Over time the product develops a living community of microorganisms to break down petrochemicals and other pollutants.
Root Pave uses recycled rubber from truck tyres so provides an environmentally friendly solution to the problem of cracked pavements as well as helping to reduce sending rubbish to landfill by recycling.
An added advantage of including rubber in the mix is that slip resistance is far better in all weather conditions.
